Shane Jones went on holiday with his partner to Talybont Farm Campsite in April 2024, prosecutor Paul Hewitt said. When asked by police, Jones told officers the same story. His partner decided to check through his phone after he had accused her of cheating on him. The court heard he had seven previous convictions for seven offences, including a history of domestic violence against previous partners. Recorder Claire Pickthall said Jones’ previous domestic violence convictions “show a worrying pattern” of violence against his partners.
