Blaenau Gwent and Rhymney MP Nick Smith praised Welsh Labour for voting against the Welsh Government’s supplementary budget and ‘standing up’ for children with special educational needs.
Welsh Labour accused the Plaid Cymru of not using all of the money granted by the UK Government for with special educational needs and disabilities.
Children with Additional Learning Needs rely on specialist support and schools need the resources to provide it.
Given the extra funding now available to Wales from the UK Labour Government, many parents, teachers and education professionals will be disappointed that no additional funding has been allocated specifically for ALN.
"I fully support Welsh Labour colleagues who are continuing to press the Plaid Cymru Government to invest in the support that children with Additional Learning Needs deserve."
