Martyn Grant, of Caerphilly, attended the ‘This Ain’t Texas Festival’ at Sully Sports and Social Club with his partner on May 16, prosecutor Pamela Kaiga told Cardiff Crown Court. Grant told her that he wanted to carry on drinking and became angry – to the extent that staff at the event refused to carry on serving him. He was sentenced to 11 months, suspended for 18 months, after punching his partner in the face, Ms Kaiga said.
