Buckinghamshire Council has announced that the centres in Aylesbury and Langley will shut temporarily to allow for essential drainage upgrades to ensure legal compliance and improve long-term operation.
Aylesbury HRC will close from Wednesday, September 2, and is expected to reopen before the end of December.
Langley HRC will close from Wednesday, September 9, and is scheduled to reopen before Easter 2027.
Residents who normally use the Aylesbury site are being directed to Aston Clinton HRC, which will remain open throughout the closure.
The works at Langley are expected to take longer due to the need for essential tree works before drainage upgrades can begin.
