Police visited businesses in Southbourne on Friday 12th July (Image: Ben Sturt)A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “An investigation by officers has led to a man being charged in connection with a reported series of criminal damage to businesses in Bournemouth.
“It was reported that during the early hours of Sunday 7 June 2026 the windows of eight business premises in Seabourne Road and Southbourne Grove in Southbourne were smashed, with value of the damage estimated at more than £6,000 in total.
“Following enquiries by officers, a 46-year-old Bournemouth man was arrested in connection with the incident.
“Further work was carried out to compile evidence, and he has now been charged with eight offences of criminal damage and is due to appear at Weymouth Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 13 August 2026.”
