['Wi Webstaff', 'Word In Black']
The Washington Informer
Racial healing is the process of addressing and reversing the harms of systemic racism, disparities, and disenfranchisement experienced by Black individuals and communities.
Through its Racial Healing and Black America report, Word In Black explores Black Americans’ perspectives on what racial healing means and what is needed to uplift and restore communities after centuries of marginalization.
Through original national survey data, Word In Black’s Racial Healing report examines how Black Americans define racial healing, where they experience the deepest harms and what they believe is needed to move the country forward.
By amplifying Black voices and exploring solutions to inequities Black Americans continue to face, the report advances the Black Press’s longstanding mission of informing and empowering the communities it serves.
What does racial healing actually look like in the lives of Black Americans, and what stands in the way?
