Something interesting is happening among young adults, and churches in Shreveport, Bossier, Haughton, Benton, and across Louisiana may want to pay attention. Barna research found that Gen Z churchgoers attend services about 1.9 times per month, slightly ahead of Millennials at 1.8 times per month. Gen X and Baby Boomers attend less often, according to the same research. The bigger opportunity is to create healthy spaces where young adults can worship, ask questions, serve, and build friendships naturally. Gen Z may not be as unreachable as some people thought.
