An Aberdeen dad has said he is “put off” going to Duthie Park after his 20-month-old son was nearly knocked down by an illegal e-scooter. Ross Jackson, was with his wife Ines and sons Francisco and James, 4, at the popular Aberdeen park on Sunday. Francisco was running on the footpath in front of the Winter Gardens when his dad had to quickly take action. The dad-of-two, 36, told The P&J: “I just turned round and saw this guy on an e-scooter with a balaclava. The MP said: “I was horrified to hear of the near miss involving a toddler and an e-scooter in Duthie Park, exposing the terrifying dangers these pose to our children when travelling at high speeds.
