The cast for the “fresh reimagining” of Highland-based TV series has been announced and will include actress Julia Brown. The family saga, which originally aired for 64 episodes between 2000-2005, will return to Channel 5 for a “new generation”. Brown, who starred in World on Fire and Karen Pirie, will play “high-flying” London lawyer Isla Campbell. A statement added: “This family saga promises heart, humour and romance bound together by breathtaking landscapes, roaring hearts and the people who call this wild corner of the world home. ‘I’m so excited to be stepping into the world of Monarch of the Glen’Julia Brown said: “I’m so excited to be stepping into the world of Monarch of the Glen and bringing Isla Campbell to life.
