Two gunmen sought for firing shots near Astoria Houses before fleeing on a moped: NYPD

Police from the 114th Precinct in Astoria and Public Service Area 9 are looking for two gunmen who allegedly opened fire in broad daylight in the Halletts Point section just before 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 5.
The suspects allegedly fired at least eight shots in front of a row of commercial businesses on 27th Avenue near 4th Street, across from the Astoria Houses, before riding off on a moped.
The suspects were last seen heading southbound on Vernon Boulevard and then eastbound on Astoria Boulevard.
