A Briarwood man was arrested Thursday morning and charged with attempted murder for allegedly stabbing a woman he was arguing with on an E train in Jackson Heights in a bloody assault in late June. Authorities say Perez was aboard a northbound E train at the Jackson Heights–Roosevelt Avenue/74th Street transit hub at around 2:15 p.m. on Monday, June 29, when he began arguing with a 31-year-old female. The verbal dispute escalated into violence when Perez allegedly stabbed the victim in her neck and left hand with a sharp object before running out of the station and boarding an MTA Q53 bus. EMS responded and transported the wounded woman to Elmhurst Hospital, where she was listed in stable condition. Perez is expected to be arraigned in Queens Criminal Court on Friday.
