Nintendo reported that it earned a net profit of ¥147 billion (about $928 million) on revenues of ¥518 billion (~$3.3 billion) in the quarter ending June 30, 2026. “However, for a hardware system in its second year, sales compared favorably to the adoption trajectory of Nintendo Switch … [And] there are more titles for Nintendo Switch 2 than there were in the first year for Nintendo Switch, and numerous other titles are in active development.” Nintendo sold 3.82 million Switch 2 units in the quarter, a decline of 34.4 percent when compared to the 5.82 million units it sold in the year-ago quarter. Nintendo has now sold 23.7 million Switch 2 consoles overall and 157 million OG Switch consoles. Looking ahead, Nintendo expects to sell 16.5 million Switch 2 consoles in the fiscal year ending March 31, down from 19.86 million units in the previous fiscal year.
