The Company Behind Ugly Gold Phones Is Now Making Ugly Gold Smart Glasses

Smart glasses have enjoyed quite a few rites of passage this year.
Even with all of that, the landmarks aren’t done quite yet—there’s still some juice in the smart glasses going mainstream tank, and this particular flavor of juice is full of garish gold accents.
Like many mobile phones before them, smart glasses—Ray-Ban Meta AI glasses, in particular—are now getting the treatment from Caviar, a company best known for making prohibitively expensive gold-covered phones that are tacky enough to make Donald Trump’s interior decorator blush.
In keeping with other Caviar abominations, the Odyssey smart glasses—which are indeed named after the Greek epic—pull from the same playbook.
For me, arguably the best part of the Odyssey smart glasses is this description from Caviar:“Odysseus embodies the leader who stays ahead of the curve and turns every journey into a competitive advantage.
