Canada supports legal literacy drive for over 100 Grenadian youth
['Press Release']
St Vincent Times
More than 100 young people in Grenada are now better equipped to understand their legal rights, responsibilities and the role they can play in building safer, stronger communities.
That is the lasting impact of the Youth Symposium hosted by the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court (ECSC) in partnership with the Justice Education Society (JES) through the Judicial Strengthening for the Eastern Caribbean (JES-EC) Project which is funded by the Government of Canada.
The Grenada symposium builds on the success of the inaugural Youth Symposium held in Saint Lucia in 2025 and forms part of the Judicial Strengthening for the Eastern Caribbean (JES-EC) Project’s broader Public Legal Education and Information (PLEI) programme.
This Government of Canada initiative will continue in Dominica and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, strengthening legal literacy and empowering young people across the region.
At JES, we are proud to work alongside the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court, with the support of the Government of Canada, to improve access to justice and equip the next generation with the knowledge and confidence to shape more just, inclusive and resilient communities.
