Head of the NSW public service Simon Draper will exit the role to take up a new position in the federal government.
“While we’re sorry to see him go, this appointment is a fitting recognition of his talent, his judgement and the contribution he’s made to public service.”
While in the Premier’s Department Draper assisted the delivery of the Housing Delivery Authority and the establishment of the Investment Delivery Authority.
Treasury Secretary Michael Coutts-Trotter will serve as Acting Secretary of the Premier’s Department until April 2027.
Draper will depart the Premier’s Department on 4 September and Coutts-Trotter will commence as Acting Secretary on 5 September.
