The Australian Children’s Television Foundation (ACTF) has sold the global rights to Caper Crew to Netflix, excluding Australia, with the streamer set to launch the series in more than 190 territories.
Netflix ANZ content director Amanda Duthie said the series, which premiered on the ABC in April, fit the streamer’s track record with Australian children’s content.
“Caper Crew has all the wit, warmth and mischief that Australian children’s series do so well, and we can’t wait for kids and families around the world to discover it on Netflix,” she said.
Caper Crew follows a number of Australian children’s series to find international audiences on Netflix, including The Inbestigators, Little Lunch, Surviving Summer and H2O: Just Add Water.
The ABC retains the Australian rights to Caper Crew.
