Sweden’s Ambassador to Thailand, Anna Hammargren, attended the opening of the Second Ukrainian Film Festival in Bangkok on 4 August 2026. The festival was organised by the Embassy of Ukraine in Thailand to mark the 35th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence. In connection with the event, the Swedish Embassy in Bangkok reiterated Sweden’s solidarity with Ukraine ahead of Ukrainian Independence Day on 24 August. The programme included Ukrainian dramas, documentaries and a family adventure film dealing with the country’s culture, history and wartime experiences.
