Carnegie Hall’s National Youth Orchestra 2 (NYO2) performed two sold-out concerts in Santiago and Santo Domingo in collaboration with Fundación Sinfonía, reinforcing their partnership to promote classical music, cultural exchange and the development of young musicians. The program included works by Arturo Márquez, Gabriela Lena Frank, Michael Torke, George Gershwin and Ottorino Respighi. A highlight of the visit was the participation of young Dominican musicians, who joined NYO2 on stage, giving them the opportunity to gain orchestral experience alongside one of the world’s leading youth ensembles. As part of its educational mission, Fundación Sinfonía also distributed complimentary tickets to music students from conservatories, academies and artistic institutions across the country, allowing hundreds of aspiring musicians to experience world-class performances. The concerts marked the third collaboration between Fundación Sinfonía and Carnegie Hall, further strengthening international artistic exchange and expanding opportunities for young musical talent in the Dominican Republic.
