He is referring to now-sophomore quarterback Bryce Underwood’s 2025 season spent behind an injury-ridden offensive line.
With eight returning contributors on the offensive line, as well as newly healthy sophomore tackle Andrew Babalola, it’s no surprise that the biggest acquisition of the offseason was offensive line coach Jim Harding.
Harding is one of the nation’s best offensive line coaches, and boasts a resume of proteges featuring Garrett Bolles and 2025 Outland Trophy winner Spencer Fano.
Whether it’s continuity, coaching, conditioning or the rhino, Michigan believes its offensive line will be a strength of its offense.
And with its starting quarterback priming himself for a breaking sophomore season, he’ll need his offensive line to keep him upright.
