Canal+ has secured exclusive rights, across all languages, to UEFA Men’s club competitions in Sub-Saharan Africa for four seasons, running from mid-2027 to 2031.
In English- and Portuguese-speaking Africa, SuperSport retains and strengthens its existing exclusive coverage of the tournaments.
Canal+ Sport regains full Champions League coverage and, for the first time, secures exclusive French-language rights to the Europa League and Conference League, rights previously held by the Togo-based network New World TV, effectively exiting the market from the 2027/28 season.
Maxime Saada, Chief Executive Officer of Canal+, said the deal underscores the strength of the group’s sports offering across the continent.
“We are very proud of this new partnership, which gives us exclusive rights to all UEFA Men’s Club competitions across more than 40 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa,” he said, adding that subscribers would enjoy “the biggest matches” of all three competitions for four seasons.
