To take Congress, democratic socialists need to be less progressive and more pragmatic

Monocle
The New York Times reports that moderate Democrats are preparing for war with the party’s progressive wing after the victory of Abdul El-Sayed in the Michigan state primary this week.
But nor are many of the prescriptions of democratic socialism, not simply because they’re further left but because their chief ideas are not new.
How about some pragmatic, daring, left-wing fixes for American health and border security that actually have a chance?
The point here is that, whether they’re progressive or moderate, fresh ideas are the way forward.
Otherwise, despite an unpopular war and the rising cost of living, Republicans will once again hold on to Congress in November.ublicans will once again hold on to Congress in November.
