Before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Lynn Stewart Mays, Terrill Johnson, 26, accepted a negotiated plea agreement on Aug. 4 in connection with the 2022 fatal shooting of 19-year-old Adrian Morris. According to previous trial testimony, the murder occurred April 28, 2022, outside a liquor store on the 5300 block of Belair Road. A jury ultimately found Johnson guilty of voluntary manslaughter and firearm offenses while acquitting him of second-degree murder. Johnson, represented by defense attorney Stephanie Salter, pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and use of a handgun in the commission of a felony or violent crime. This was after a jury found Johnson guilty of manslaughter but the plea was an effort to gain more favorable terms at sentencing.
