The last time the application came before the CPA was in December 2025, when it was refused under the NCA. The proposed pool would extend this man-made inlet to the north. The latter should be 50 feet, but the application is seeking a setback of just 17 feet from the edge of the ironshore. In its submissions on behalf of the National Conservation Council, the DoE has said that the sea-pool presents a number of problems. The DoE questioned whether the CPA and the DoP have made any progress on creating a policy to deal with this multiple application problem.
