Throwback Thursday: Med Center Health celebrates 100 years of caringShare This StoryemailPrintLinkedinRedditSunday, August 2nd marked a milestone in Bowling Green history as Med Center Health celebrated 100 years since the opening of City Hospital, the original organization that would grow into the region’s largest healthcare system. To commemorate the Centennial, Med Center Health looked to the past in a unique way by opening a time capsule that had remained sealed for 74 years. While medicine has changed dramatically over the last 100 years, Med Center Health’s mission has remained remarkably consistent: providing compassionate, high-quality care close to home. As Med Center Health celebrates its Centennial, the opening of the long-forgotten time capsule reminds us that history is more than dates and buildings. Med Center Health will officially celebrate this milestone on Saturday, August 15th with a ribbon-cutting ceremony of the new High Street Tower, followed by the 100th Birthday Bash from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the campus of the Medical Center at Bowling Green.
