A grievance filed July 5 and later filed with the Brunswick County Clerk of Superior Court on July 7 lists the subject as “LEGAL/WOULD LIKE TO SPEAK TO MY ATTORNEY.” Edge also alleged in the grievance that he had been denied a leg brace, suffered a broken foot and was denied adequate medical care. That grievance, filed April 9 and filed with the clerk’s office April 14, was also listed as open in the document obtained by WWAY. The criminal charges against Edge remain allegations, and he has not been convicted in connection with the Southport shooting.
