TrackTex Deployed to Rehabilitate CTA’s Spaulding Avenue Crossing
[]
News | Railway-News
This rehabilitation project aimed to improve a crossing where track geometry was affected by differential settlement.
© GeoFabricsThe CTA railroad network comprises 224 miles of track across 8 routes, serving 145 stations and a population of around 3.5m residents.
It was observed the track geometry had changed at this crossing and there was also evidence of differential settlement.
In this case the crossing was removed and TrackTex installed beneath new, clean ballast.
