The Pirates cut ties with designated hitter Marcel Ozuna Wednesday, officially releasing the 35-year old veteran slugger. The Pirates had signed the former three-time All-Star to a one-year $12 million deal in February, with a mutual option for 2027. The Pirates called up outfielder Ronny Simon to take his roster spot. Simon had been batting .330 for Triple-A Indianapolis this year with 33 stolen bases. The post Pirates end ties with Ozuna appeared first on ButlerRadio.com – Butler, PA.
