ZZ Top abruptly canceled its Hollywood Bowl concert with Cheap Trick after undisclosed personnel issues created what frontman Billy Gibbons described as “insurmountable obstacles.” The Hollywood Bowl now lists the entire event as canceled rather than postponed. The band has not announced a replacement Hollywood Bowl date or said whether the issue will affect its remaining tour schedule. “Insurmountable obstacles require canceling our Hollywood Bowl performance,” he said. The Troubadour appearance was a separate Cheap Trick concert and did not include ZZ Top.
