According to the survey, Gen X caregivers also cover logistical or administrative issues such as managing healthcare appointments, medications and insurance needs. For instance, 40% Gen X caregivers say they’ve been interrupted by appointments, pickups or emergencies, and 37% said it’s difficult for them to start and complete work on time. Guardian’s research found that the percentage of full-time working Americans managing caregiving responsibilities has increased 13% since 2019. Caregiving also appears to be prominent across generations, with 25% of baby boomers, 39% of Gen X, 51% of millennials and 38% of Generation Z reporting caregiving responsibilities.
