Over three games, Chicago outplayed one of Major League Baseball’s most talented rosters, winning 10-5 on Monday, 5-1 on Tuesday and closing the sweep with Wednesday’s dramatic one-run victory. Moments later, Cubs center fielder Pete Crow-Armstrong answered with a leadoff homer of his own. Despite the late rally, the Cubs held on to complete the sweep. If this series is any indication, the Cubs intend to be playing meaningful baseball deep into October.
