Indiana opened fall camp Wednesday, and while there are still weeks before the Hoosiers take the field for their season opener, head coach Curt Cignetti walked away encouraged after the first practice of August. Those are exactly the kinds of boxes coaches hope to check during the first day of preseason camp. Indiana enters camp with far more experience than it had a year ago, but Cignetti knows this group still has work to do before opening kickoff. Veteran receiver Charlie Becker also enters camp with increased confidence after emerging as one of Indiana’s top targets late last season. Wednesday marked only the beginning, but the Hoosiers believe the foundation is in place for another successful season.
