CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Several theft investigations, a counterfeit currency complaint, and a warrant-related incident were among the calls handled by the Chillicothe Police Department on Aug. 5, 2026, according to the department’s daily media report. Officers responded to multiple theft complaints throughout the day, including an investigation reported at a business location on East Fifth Street near Centennial Boulevard. Later in the afternoon, officers were dispatched to the Law Enforcement Complex regarding a reported theft of a credit card. A separate theft investigation was also reported at a residence in the 300 block of McKeller Street, where officers took a report. Later that evening, officers responded to Yoctangee Park for a report of a suspicious person.
