The Hive in Great Yarmouth officially opened on August 3 with a mission to help people achieve greater independence and wellbeing. Based at Centre 81 on Yare House, Morton Peto Road, the facility offers support in reablement, employability, and everyday life skills, along with opportunities for social connection and personal growth. "Through our activities, support services, and the unique opportunities provided by Bumble Cottage, we aim to empower people to develop their independence, achieve their aspirations, and enjoy active, fulfilled lives within their community." The Hive includes Bumble Cottage, a fully accessible self-contained home designed to help members regain and strengthen essential life skills in a realistic domestic setting. Alongside skill-building and support services, the centre also offers a welcoming environment for people to socialise, enjoy meals, and participate in activities both on-site and in the surrounding community.
