A Section 78 Order has been issued for travellers at Emerald Park in Gorleston, giving the council legal powers to remove the unauthorised encampment. Great Yarmouth Borough Council said: "The order is being served on the travellers this afternoon. "Thank you for your patience and understanding while we have followed the legal process required to resolve this situation." It comes as part of a now week-long battle for the council to evict the group. They were issued notices; however, the camp "doubled in size" over the weekend, according to Great Yarmouth First councillor, David Huggins.
