The fire broke out shortly before 11pm, and saw firefighters from across Greater Manchester called in to tackle the incident on Parsons Street. Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that crews were still in attendance this morning. It is understood the fire broke out in Levensham Business Centre, which contains several different businesses of varying natures. A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: “Just after 10.45pm on Wednesday, August 5, eight fire engines and various special appliances from across Greater Manchester were sent to an incident on Parsons Street, Oldham. Another image, understood to have been taken after the fire, shows widespread damage to the roof of the building.
