The Delimitation Bill: Government Still Not Confident Of Numbers? Even as the repeated disruptions continuing in Parliament, the Government yesterday again brought the controvercial Delimitation Bill to the fore front. On the other hand, the government is not confident of mustering required number for the passage of the bill, sources said. Sources said that the government plans to table the controvercial Delimitation Bill next week before the current Monsoon session concludes on July 13, 2026.The government miserably failed to push the 131st Constitutional Amendment (Delimitation) Bill in the last session since it lacked the required two-thirds majority. Government sources claimed the DMK leadership had intiallyshown signs of supporting the legislation but now appeared to have reconsider its position.
