Hyderabad: The Telangana government has sanctioned Rs 25 lakh for the construction of new classrooms at the Government Primary School in Gopalapuram village of Tirumalayapalem mandal in Khammam district, following Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s intervention. The decision came after a report published in the media highlighted the dilapidated condition of the school building and the inadequate infrastructure faced by students. On the Chief Minister’s instructions, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister N Sridhar, IAS, also spoke to school teacher N Indira to inquire about the condition of the classrooms and the school’s infrastructure. During his visit, he appreciated teacher N Indira for her efforts towards the development of the school and informed her that Rs 25 lakh had been sanctioned for the construction of new classrooms. The funds have been released immediately to expedite the construction works and improve infrastructure for students at the government school.
