Baroque musicians mourn a star bassoon RIPnorman lebrecht August 06, 2026We have been notified of the death of Rhoda Patrick, a baroque bassoonist from Scotland who played solo on many recordings and spent 20 years as principal bassoon in the Göttingen Festival orchestra. She also taught at the Hochschule in Leipzig and in Lübeck. Rhoda was 66.
