Jurors on Wednesday heard testimony about cell phone data, GPS records from a rental car and a video timeline tied to last summer’s case. According to their testimony, apps on Melina’s phone were used thousands of times during the week she was with her father last summer. A forensic video expert testified that he created it by combining cell phone analysis, GPS data and video of investigators driving the same route. The defense challenged the evidence in court, arguing there were gaps in the location data and in the animation between GPS points.
