Record-breaking Dorset charity walk raises £180,000

More than 575 students, teachers, families, and volunteers joined The Malcolm Whales Foundation’s annual Dorset Walk, raising more than £180,000 for the cause.
Participants completed the charity’s "toughest challenge" yet, trekking 40 miles along the Jurassic Coast over three days.

Organisers modified sections of the walk to ensure safety, adding hydration stops and starting earlier in the day to avoid peak heat.
The weekend included evening activities, a presentation ceremony for returning walkers, and the charity’s annual toast in memory of Malcolm Whales.
