The Dumbarton squadron of the Royal Air Force (RAF) Air Cadets was announced as the runner-up for 2026, just pipped at the post to the title of the best in the UK by the City of Bath squadron. The winners were announced this week, and the Dumbarton squadron, selected as the best in the West Scotland Wing in February to qualify for the UK-wide finals, hailed their achievement in picking up the Morris Trophy. "The cadets and CFAV should be incredibly proud of their success as Morris Trophy winners for 2026." Meanwhile, Dover squadron won The Marshall Trophy, which recognises the most improved ATC squadron and celebrates sustained progress, development and achievement. A statement from the RAF Air Cadets said: "While only three squadrons received trophies, the competition highlighted the talent, commitment and community spirit found throughout RAF Air Cadets.
