The Wales Air Ambulance helicopter was seen circling the area shortly after 8pm before landing in Betws Park. A spokesman for Wales Air Ambulance said: "I can confirm the Wales Air Ambulance helicopter attended an incident in that region on Friday 31 July 2026. The patient was transported by land ambulance to the park and then airlifted to hospital, arriving at 9.54pm. The air ambulance spokesman said: "The patient was taken by air to the University Hospital of Wales."
