Loose Women panellist Nadia Sawalha has threatened legal action against ITV after she was removed from the daytime show for speaking out in support of Palestinian rights. In a pre-action letter, the European Legal Support Center (ELSC) has written to ITV on her behalf, alleging discrimination and harassment under the Equality Act. In an Instagram video today, Sawalha said: “My legal team at ELSC have today written to ITV alleging that I have been treated unlawfully due to my protected beliefs. And since then, ITV have taken me on and off Loose Women a number of times. In its pre-action letter, ELSC alleges that ITV subjected the Loose Women panellist to direct and indirect discrimination and harassment because of her protected philosophical beliefs, namely her anti-Zionist beliefs, which are protected under the Equality Act 2010.
