The micro-grant fund, which is for projects of less than £1,000 which are not eligible for the main grant fund, has proven very popular with local groups. George Brown, community council chairperson commented: "We are delighted to be able to support a wide variety of local projects which will each make such a worthwhile contribution to our community." Innerleithen Open Studios has been chosen, which will help create a website to support their work with a network of local artists. They will look ahead to organising the Open Studios weekend on September 26 and 27. Lastly, St Ronan's Care Home Garden volunteers will use the grant for the purchase of polytunnels, plants and raised beds.
