SUPERIOR — The results from a business stakeholder survey show small businesses anticipate revenue losses from the closure of the Blatnik Bridge in the years to come.
The Development Association has a Bridge to Progress funding advocacy initiative to support the business community through the construction.
Position the region with additional transportation needs during the bridge closure and help with accessibility.
There is also a bill to fund grants or forgivable loans for businesses in distress related to the bridge closure.
Rohde also said the group has gone to Sen. Tammy Baldwin to ask for $1 million of congressional directed funding to help businesses through the closure.
