The national park is listed as one of the best places to watch the upcoming partial solar eclipse on August 12, with Sutton Bank singled out as a prime location.
Car rental company Sixt compiled the ranking, focusing on west-facing sites in the UK with low average cloud cover, high elevation, and a clear western horizon.
Sutton Bank in the North York Moors finished seventh in the rankings, with an average August cloud cover of 53 per cent, an elevation of 298 metres, and estimated solar obscuration of 90.9 per cent.
"Although the UK won't experience a total solar eclipse, the partial eclipse will still provide a spectacular viewing experience.
The company said: "Even during a partial eclipse (up to 95.8 per cent solar obscuration in some UK locations), it is never safe to look directly at the sun with the naked eye.
