Cyberabad police probe fake Instagram account targeting woman amid divorceA retired government employee has approached the Cyberabad Cyber Crime Police, alleging that his daughter, who lives in the US, was targeted through fake Instagram and Facebook accounts during an ongoing divorce. The husband is currently residing in Dallas, while the woman lives with their children in Denver. Since January this year, unidentified persons have allegedly created a fake Instagram account and used it to target her. The suspects also reportedly posted objectionable content about the woman on Facebook in an attempt to defame her. Based on the complaint, Cyberabad Cybercrime police registered a case and took up investigation to identify those behind the fake social media accounts and the defamatory posts.
