Medico declared brain-dead after alleged drunk driving incident at Andhra mall; two arrestedA 28-year-old postgraduate medical student was declared brain-dead after she was allegedly run over by a car outside a mall in Rajamahendravaram. Police arrested two engineering students, allegedly intoxicated, after CCTV footage of the incident surfaced on social media. The critically injured medico was admitted to a local hospital and later shifted to Hyderabad, where doctors declared her brain-dead. Police identified the arrested youths as Suravarapu Daswant, who was driving the car, and Andrew Joseph Edwards. They allegedly misbehaved with mall staff before leaving, and later ran over a medico near the gate.
