Caroline ZimmermanThe Kansas City StarKANSAS CITY, Kan. — A former Kansas City, Kansas Fire Department employee pleaded guilty to a child pornography charge in federal court Tuesday, after prosecutors allege he obtained thousands of photos of child sexual abuse material.
Dylan Jamescupp, 34, of Ottawa , pleaded guilty to one count of distribution of child pornography Tuesday, according to a news release from the United States Attorney’s Office District of Kansas.
According to a plea agreement filed Tuesday, Jamescupp “uploaded and traded” child sexual abuse material across social media platforms Snapchat and Kik.
Jamescupp’s phone data showed he received child sexual abuse material while at the Kansas City, Kansas Fire Department , where he worked as an emergency medical technician, the news release said.
Authorities located 2,306 photos and 369 videos of child pornography across four devices tied to Jamescupp, the plea document said.
