David Gani, of Turf Hill Road, Heywood, appeared at Manchester Magistrates’ Court on Monday, August 3. The 45-year-old pleaded not guilty to the offence of theft allegedly committed on Monday, March 30, in May this year. After this plea, magistrates adjourned the case for trial, and Gani will next appear at Stockport Magistrates’ Court on October 14 for this. At trial, magistrates will hear evidence from both the prosecution and defence before deciding whether the charge is proved. He is remanded on bail on the condition that he does not enter either Tesco Express in Tottington or Tesco Express in Rochdale.
